Godfrey Magila is the founder and CEO of Magilatech, a software development and security auditing company in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania started in 2012.
Magilatech launched Tigobackup, a mobile security application performing full content backup on mobile device and antitheft commands. The app has recovered more than 3,600 lost and stolen devices.
Through his company, Magila employs 14 people, has seven contract employees, made over $1 million last year, has app contracts with Airtel, Vsomo, Maxcom, Selcom and DayOne Softcom. Magila holds a Bachelor of Finance and Accounts degree and is a self-taught programmer. He is also an entree into Forbes Africa 30 Under 30, 2017
